PASSPORT TO CHRISTMAS

Before winter break, the children, families and educators gather to participate in the annual  “Passport to Christmas” celebration at Hazelwood Early Learning Centre.

Contrary to traditional Christmas parties, the children and families are engaged and exercising their creativity while exploring various holiday themed stations with their families.

The children created tree ornaments, centrepieces with fresh greenery that the children help to collect while outside on local walks. The children and families decorate festive cookies which the children help to bake days before.

Throughout the celebration families are welcome to enter the photo booth for some silly and heartwarming photos and participate in festive games.

Other highlights include impromptu dramatic play skits and songs, exploring festive sensory bins, and finally wrapping up by sharing community time together while eating decorated cookies and sipping hot chocolate.
